What is Canva?

Canva is a cloud-based, free design platform launched in 2013, enabling users to create visual content quickly. This platform exists for users who do not have extensive graphic design knowledge but want to boost their content and establish brands by incorporating visually pleasing images.

Canva is notable for its drag-and-drop feature. Users can choose from a 2 billion selection of designs ideal for social media posts, presentations, flyers, e-books, and logos. Templates on the Canva platform are also customizable – you can create a blank canvass or upload your photos to blend with readily-made designs.

Utilizing Canva is as easy as designing your first content. You only need to have an email address to sign up, and you’ll get free access to 250,000 free templates and 5GB of cloud storage. You may also invite members of your team for design collaboration under the free subscription.

Types of subscriptions

Canva has other two premium subscriptions with improved benefits, namely the Canva Pro and Canva for Enterprise plans. Canva Pro costs $12.99 a month, where up to 5 people can access an additional 610,000 templates and 100 million photos, videos, gifs, audio, and graphics. If using the pro subscription, you can also save your designs for future publishing that can be automatically published by synching up to 8 social media platforms. There’s also 100 GB cloud storage when you opt for a pro subscription.

Canva for Enterprise, on the other hand, costs $30 a month, where you and your team can collaborate and control the access for designs. You will have access to all the designs in Canva plus unlimited cloud storage for your plans. It also has a template locking feature to set your team’s format based on your project.

Canva is utilized by around 40 million users a month in 190 countries across Asia and America. It is also available in 100 languages for users’ convenience.
