What is Foodpanda?

Foodpanda began operations in March 2012 in Singapore and had spread to 16 countries over the period of the year. It later expanded to seven additional countries, reaching a total of 23 by February 2013. As the company grows, they are aiming to expand their network of delivery options in each location. With its own fleet of Foodpanda riders, their service has become more consistent and faster than before, guaranteeing that food is delivered on time every day.

Foodpanda is a food ordering marketplace that enables consumers to easily explore food in their area and order their favorite dishes either online or via mobile. Simply pick your country, city, and area, or use the Foodpanda app’s geo-location tool to browse a selection of quality restaurants that deliver on your location. There are several payment methods available, and if you’re paying cash on delivery, you can specify whether you need any change.

The menus at all restaurants have been updated, and you can just add the goods to your cart and proceed to checkout. Your address and contact information will be retained once you’ve made an account, making reordering simple. In terms of operations, many foodchains have a POS integration, which means that once you place an order on the website or app, it is immediately sent to the restaurant.

For restaurants with internet connectivity, a desktop app is installed, which sends the customer’s order and contact information to the restaurant right away. The call center ensures that the order is processed in a timely manner. Foodpanda’s call center team manually sends the order to the restaurant within the next few minutes of it being placed for smaller restaurants.
